Tender Moments

Mom has been blessed with a few peaceful days. However as the cancer continues to ravage her body comes the difficulty of breathing from the fluid filling her lungs. Despite the difficulties she continues to press forward with courage. No matter the struggle she constantly brings a smile to our broken hearts.
The priceless moment of the day came as all five us kids stood by Mom's bed. It was just like when we were little and we all lined up to give Mom a kiss goodnight. Tender moments will continue to be shared as Mom, Dad and the five of us are given one more day as a family.

  1. Our hearts bleeds for you as you have to go through this pain, and yet we know that your Mom is one that has fulfilled the measure of her creation and assured herself all the blessings of eternity. May the Lord bless your family with his cloak of peace and love.

  2. Kristi,

What a blessing this has been to so many of us to read this daily account of your love as a family for one another. No one should leave this life alone and many do. Chris, you have touched our lives and those of all of our children in the most caring of ways--attending temeple weddings, halping at all of their receptions, and you and Jack listening to Bruce and I carry on way past midnight about our challenges of life. You welcomed us in to your home for six weeks when we were "homeless", and made it so comfortable it was hard to leave.

I loved working with you in the Stake Primary, years ago now, and remember the cute CTR baseball hats you gave us to weat to one of our stake meetings. You were always teaching with ideas outside the box, and always with pure love for everyone.

Thank you for the life lessons you taught and the example of the Savior you have been. I know that angels attend you and your family at this time. May the Lord continue to bless you and comfort you, my dearest friend.

    All my love, Ruth Buchanan

  3. Dear Chris,
How can words express how we feel in our Hearts, I just want you to know, what a wonderful person you are, I am so greatful for your example, I know we havent served together or been in the same ward, but I have always looked to you as an example of the Pure Love of Christ.
Serving unconditionally, family, friends and everyone else that you came in contact with, you may not know but we were watching and learning from you.
I have served with Lori at Girls Camp and what a great person she is, that is a reflection on you and the example you have been to our family.
I have always loved that about you!
I dont have any great words of wisdom other than my life has been blessed because I know you! I am greatful for the life you have lead and shared with us. I pray for you and your family for comfort and peace, I always remember your wonderful Smile, Bubbly personality, wonderful laugh, and your many kind words.
We love you and pray for you and your family daily and know that the Lord will put his arms around you with all His Love and Comfort.

All the Love in our Hearts.

  5. Kristi, I'm so glad that you are all there together! I know the spirit must be strong, I felt it when I was there the other day. Even though we have not been blessed with the one miricle we wanted, I know you have been blessed with many miricles instead. I am sure the Lord has many more for all of your family during this incredible trial. I love you all, my cousins!! I love you Aunt Chris, and Uncle Jack! You have all continued to be a great example to me, and many others. I know the Lord has brought peace to your hearts, but we will always need each other to lean on. Cherilyn, and I send our prayers for all of you each, and every night. Again we love you all, and you are in our thoughts constantly at this time. Love, Jason
